Project Description This externally funded plant breeding and biotechnology project focuses on developing doubled haploid lines in hot and sweet peppers using tissue culture, haploid induction, and genomic tools to generate novel genetic variation, accelerate breeding cycles, and develop improved Capsicum varieties with superior agronomic and quality traits.

Qualification
Master’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with specialization in Vegetable Science/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Plant Physiology/Plant Biotechnology/Botany/Life Sciences or related subjects
Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree must have a valid UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent, or a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline
Monthly Salary ₹35,000/- per month + 24% HRA
Age Limit maximum 35 years (relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/Women, 3 years for OBC)
Selection Process Preliminary shortlisting will be done on the basis of academic qualifications, and selection will be finalized through interviews.
