| Description | Qualification Requirement: Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory Key Responsibilities Strengthen Capex planning frameworks through a structured budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and clearly articulated key risks and assumptions for CEO-level project reviews, thereby enforcing robust fiscal discipline across all capital programs. Own and drive the end-to-end financial strategy for mobilization, allocation, and utilization of capital funds in close partnership with the Treasury function, ensuring alignment between financial outflows and actual physical project progress. Optimize Interest During Construction (IDC) through disciplined cash flow management, milestone-linked fund disbursements, and synchronized vendor payment cycles to minimize carry costs and financial leakage. Establish comprehensive tracking mechanisms for project-level cash flows, billing, certifications, and payments to ensure financial compliance; periodically audit capital projects to validate execution efficiency, cost control, and value creation. Design and implement fund deployment protocols that are tightly linked to execution milestones, ensuring uninterrupted project liquidity while preventing idle capital accumulation. Develop, institutionalize, and enforce governance protocols, SOPs, internal controls, and management reporting frameworks to ensure transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance across all large-scale Capex initiatives. Lead financial due diligence during the capital project approval and stage-gate processes, providing independent assurance on budget accuracy, cost estimates, assumptions, contingencies, and financial model integrity. Act as the key financial interface with the CEO, CFO, Business Unit CFOs, Project Directors, Group Strategy, and Treasury teams to resolve execution-level challenges, with the authority and responsibility to escalate critical matters directly to the Chairman / CHMO when required. Serve as the financial lead and approving authority for high-value capital procurement transactions (above 10 crores), working in close coordination with the Technical and Commercial (TC) Committee to ensure financial prudence and governance adherence. Support commercial and contract negotiations by providing deep financial insights on cost structures, payment terms, lifecycle costing, risk allocation, and long-term ROI implications, ensuring sustainable value realization from capital investments. |
