| Description | The Northeast Centre for Equity Action on Integrated Development (NEAID) is a grassroots, not-for-profit, and a political organization led by individuals from the region. NEAID promotes sustainable development initiatives in the tribal and rural areas of Northeastern India,with a focus on quality education, health, and its determinants. NEAID’s interventions are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are designed to complement the existing public systems. NEAID envisions creating and living in an equitable and prosperous society through integrated development. This vision will become a reality through its mission to create an inclusive society in Northeast India by improving access to healthcare and education through partnerships, advocacy, and integrated development efforts. Since launching its programmatic interventions in 2017, NEAID has collaborated with national and international entities, corporate donors, and the government to enhance the quality of education, provide safe drinking water, ensure good health, and respond to disasters in marginalized and rural communities in Northeast India. Under the Education domain, NEAID is currently fostering a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) mindset among secondary school girls in rural public schools and advancing Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) in primary grades through the “Whole School Transformation” Program. These programs span across two districts in Assam and impact over 8,000+ students. In partnership with the government, NEAID also empowers mothers' groups and promotes community ownership to ensure sustainable access to safe drinking water in more than 75,000 households from 416 villages. Additionally, NEAID has actively participated in disaster relief efforts in the region, working closely with district administrations to provide ration kits, arrange medical facilities, and set up community kitchens benefiting more than 12000 Households. Position Summary The Program Associate will facilitate the effective deployment of the Grade 6-9 curriculum in intervention schools by coordinating district-level volunteers and strengthening programme delivery. The role includes supporting teacher capacity-building initiatives and providing sustained academic and implementation support to educators across districts. Key Responsibilities: Support the Program Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing programme activities in line with project objectives and timelines. Coordinate with internal teams, district-level staff, and partners to ensure smooth implementation of programme interventions across selected districts. Manage and support field teams/Fellows, including task allocation, follow-ups, and day-to-day coordination to ensure effective programme delivery. Assist in organizing and facilitating trainings, orientations, and workshops for Fellows, teachers, and other stakeholders. Support stakeholder engagement by coordinating meetings, consultations, and communication with government officials, school authorities, and partner organisations. Monitor programme activities at the field level, collect implementation updates, and support documentation and reporting requirements. Assist in tracking programme progress, identifying implementation challenges, and supporting corrective actions in coordination with the Program Manager. Support logistical planning for programme activities, including travel, materials, venues, and scheduling. Contribute to the preparation of programme reports, presentations, and review documents for internal and external stakeholders. Additional Responsibilities: Support the NEAID team with ad-hoc requests and day-to-day functions. Who are we looking for? Essential: Postgraduate degree in any relevant discipline. Strong communication, coordination, and organisational skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Ability to plan, manage, and support programme activities effectively across multiple locations. Desirable: At least 2 years of experience in programme implementation, coordination, or project-based roles. Experience in managing and coordinating field teams or volunteers. Familiarity with community-based programmes, training facilitation, or capacity-building initiatives. Understanding of gender, youth, or social development programmes is an advantage. Fluency in English; knowledge of Assamese and/or Bodo is an added advantage.
