| Description | We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical systems, equipment maintenance, and operational efficiency across logistics, cargo handling, and industrial operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment management to ensure uninterrupted operational performance. The role requires hands-on experience in handling heavy equipment, preventive maintenance planning, vendor coordination, and compliance with safety and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems. Ensure smooth functioning of cargo handling equipment, machinery, and utilities. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. Monitor equipment performance and recommend process improvements for enhanced operational efficiency. Diagnose mechanical issues and coordinate timely corrective actions. Manage breakdown maintenance activities and minimize operational downtime. Coordinate with operations, procurement, and maintenance teams for equipment availability and support. Supervise contractors, vendors, and technical service providers. Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory compliance requirements. Maintain maintenance records, technical reports, and equipment documentation. Participate in audits, inspections, and engineering improvement initiatives. Support project execution related to mechanical systems and infrastructure development. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment Expertise in preventive and breakdown maintenance Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills Knowledge of safety standards and engineering compliance requirements Equipment performance monitoring and optimization Vendor and contractor management capabilities Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems Eligibility Criteria Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 8 – 12 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial operations, logistics, cargo handling, ports, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects. Experience handling heavy machinery and cargo equipment will be preferred.
